3Design is the creative division of TECH RE-NU, Maidstone's device repair and business IT specialists, based at 3 Commercial St, Maidstone VIC 3012. TECH RE-NU fixes phones, laptops and other devices and looks after local businesses' IT, with a big focus on the right to repair and keeping tech out of landfill.

3Design is our creative side: we design everything and print every order ourselves, in-house.

Yes. Every design is custom designed in 3D by Armand du Plessis, from scratch. That includes the inner-west house facades, based on the Art Deco, Victorian, Edwardian and Californian bungalow homes around us, the chunky cube letters and the keyring lettering layouts. You won't find them anywhere else.

Just your name and a mobile number or email. No account and no postal address. We only use your details to tell you when your order is ready.

Yes! On the custom name keyring page, tap + Add another name or Paste a list (one name per line). Each name can have its own lettering style and colour, so it's perfect for teams, classes, parties and families.

Very close. The 3D preview is made from the same file we print. Because every piece is printed to order, we may make small changes to improve quality, like adjusting spacing, thickness or letter shapes so thin parts don't snap and everything prints cleanly. Filament colours can also look a little different from your screen.

Yes! Head to Custom designs and tell us your idea, whether it's your own house, a business logo, a gift or a bulk order for an event. You can attach a photo or sketch, and Armand du Plessis will get back to you.

Card payments go through eWAY, an Australian payment gateway. You enter your card on eWAY's secure page, so we never see or store your card details.

Prints are normally completed within 1-2 days. We'll text you (or email, if that's what you gave us) as soon as your order is ready to collect.

Your confirmation message has a link to your order's tracking page, which shows each step: paid, printing, ready to collect and collected. Lost it? Use Track my order with your order number (it starts with 3D-) and the mobile or email you ordered with.

Everything is printed in PLA, a plant-based material made from renewable resources like corn starch and sugarcane, instead of petroleum. It's a more environmentally friendly choice for 3D printing, and we print to order, so nothing is mass-produced or wasted on unsold stock.

Because PLA is plant-based, it doesn't like heat. It can start to soften and warp at around 55–60°C.

• Keep it out of hot cars. Don't leave keyrings or magnets on the dashboard or in a car parked in the sun.
• No dishwashers or hot water. Clean with a cool, damp cloth and a little mild soap if needed.
• Avoid long periods in direct sun, like a sunny windowsill, and keep it away from heaters, ovens and BBQs.
• Don't bend thin parts. PLA is strong but can snap if bent sharply.
• Prints are decorative and not for food or drink.
• Facade magnets have a strong magnet in the back, so keep them away from small children and pets.

House facade magnets are about 60 mm wide. Keyrings depend on the name: the preview shows the exact size as you type.
